I finally got to attend a fiber festival this year--the Middle Tennessee Fiber Festival in Dickson, TN. I specifically went to look for raw fleeces, and luckily, I found five that I ended up bringing home.
Three of the fleeces were from Jacob-cross sheep (Rhea Range Farm, Middleton, TN) and two were from Shetland Sheep, Eowyn & Macchiato, both from Ballyhoo Farm in Bagdad, KY.
I've started processing one of the Shetland fleeces (Eowyn), so I'm looking forward to spinning it up in the coming weeks.
